Our New Home

After months of me stressing out that I wasn't going to have a place to live after I moved out of my apartment that I live in now. I was getting worried because school was going to end in a month and I didn't have a place to live. So after going through Craigslist and the local news papers, going to look at apartments that neither of us liked, we finally found one that we both fell in love with. I called the landlord and was able to get an application. We filled it out and when we turned gave it to her we were told that we were the first applicants for that specific apartment. So the waiting game begins. About a week after we applied I had called and asked how the application process was going. She called me back with in 30 minutes telling me that we got the apartment. I felt a weight being lifted off my shoulders and I was so excited. We signed the contract and I started to move in April 15th. Slowly but surly I have moved in and will start living there in a week since I still have a lot of stuff that are still being used in my college apartment. I can't wait to start decorating the place how I want it :)

Warm Weather, Family, and No School

Two weeks ago Andy and I took our first road trip to Arizona. We only went down for a weekend and since we both had to be back to work. We left on a Friday at 4 am, we had quite the adventure! We stopped in Saint George for a quick lunch and then got back on the road so we could conquer this 14 hour drive. We made it to Phoenix area about 4 that afternoon. My parents had called me asking when I thought we would be there and where I was (I was only about 45 minutes from my house) they told me to get off the I-10 and get get on the 202 at McDowell. My parents not telling us what way to turn off the exit, Andy and I ended up in the scary part of Phoenix. So I got back on the I-10 and just went home the way I knew to go. We got home and we had dinner and just relaxed. I wanted to see a friend before he left on his mission which Andy and I went to go do. On Saturday, I took Andy to meet one of my best friends Mariah and we went to lunch. After lunch we went to go see my Grandparents which was a surprise to my grandma because she didn't know I was in town. Then we went to go see the Mesa Temple. We walked around the temple grounds for a little bit and then headed home. We went out to dinner with my family. Sunday we just hung out and my sister Calla's boyfriend Seth came over and so did my Aunt CC and Uncle Ty with their kids and we had a family BBQ and just hung out as a family. Eventually we all ended up getting pushed in the pool. Which was cold considered to me and my sisters besides Andy who thought it was great! On Monday we went out as a family. We went on a hike and to the Old Gold Mine Ghost Town. That night Andy, Calla, Seth and I all went out for frozen yogurt. That next day Andy and I headed back to Logan. We left at 4 am. I slept most of the way back. We stopped in Las Vegas to see some of Andy's family and had lunch with his Aunt Terry. We then ventured back to Logan we stopped in Beaver for ice cream. We had forgotten that Utah had sprung forward and while we eating our ice cream I looked at a clock and realized it was a quarter to 6! With 3 more hours of driving to go we hurried and ate then got back on the road. We rolled into Logan about 9:30 we were exhausted. We watched a movie and relaxed when we got home. The rest of spring break we relaxed, caught up on sleep and worked. Now were back to school and our normal work schedules.

Engagement Pictures

So since we got engaged, life has been pretty crazy. With Andy working up to 40 hours a week and I working to 20 or more hours a week. Wedding planning has been pretty crazy. My mom came to Utah about a month and a half ago we did so much in one weekend. We found my dress and put the downpayment for it. Since then, we just paid it off so now I can go start my fittings. We found a photographer to do our engagements, she would do our wedding but is going on a LDS mission this summer. My coworkers brother does wedding photography and he will be doing the pre wedding formals, the Temple day and also the reception. So this last week we got our engagement pictures. We posted a few of our favorites below. I am so excited to be getting married and that I just have what feels like a few things to do but I am sure I have much more to do. These are a few of our favorites below.

He asked I said Yes!

On Thursday, December 27th, 2012 Andy got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! The story begins with me coming home to Utah after a week vacation with my family. As I was on the plane approaching the gate so I could get off and see Andy! As I was approaching the gate I received a text from Andy asking for my mom and my dad's phone number. He already had my dad's number he just thought he had it wrong. Yes, he called and asked my dad's permission. After I got off the plane the  plan was to go to dinner then go see the Salt Lake Temple lights. Andy wanted to go see the lights first but I had not eaten so we went to dinner first. We sat down at dinner about 8:30 pm and he wanted to be at the temple at 9 we had dinner and surprisingly we still made it the temple right after 9. It was snowing as we were walking around the temple. After we got to the temple we walked over to a specific area he saw a bridge and took me to it and I was looking at the temple and out of the corner of my eye I saw him get on one knee and pull out a ring box and asked me to marry him. I was so surprised I didn't see it coming at all! After saying yes we walked over and I saw his brother with a camera! Andy had his brother take pictures of him proposing to me! We spent the rest of the night (well I did) on the phone with family and roommates. I have to keep looking at my finger to make sure it really happened :) I really do love Andy and everything he does! I can't wait to be sealed to him in the Logan Temple.

Would You Like Some Icing?

Last Friday, we went on a double date with our friend Andrew and a girl he asked out. To start the date we went to one of the local bowling allies and played two games. We thought it would be fun to do Skittle bowling for one of our games (Skittle bowling is when you blindly draw a candy and each candy had it's own move for example red was spinning around 10 times fun things like that). So we had fun doing that I think that the most two hated colors were yellow which was laying on the ground bowling and red. Andy hated drawing the red skittles. He was pretty entertaining to watch after he spun 20 times. So after the bowling all four of us went back to my apartment to make sugar cookies. After baking them and we were done frosting them I took a finger of it and wiped it on Andy and that is when it started. I have to say that after we were finished I was pretty impressed that we had not gotten it anywhere but ourself. It was pretty entertaining to see how fast we were shoving it back into each others faces. Oh Andrew and his date just watched and took pictures. Overall I think it was a successful night and Andrew and his date had a great time.

Andy shoving more icing onto my face.

Yeah... Lets just say Andy won the fight. It was all over me......

Our Thanksgiving Weekend and The Rest Of Our Story

So obviously we were lazy and have written nothing so here goes a rapid fire catch up from the last blog up till to today.  Any way after the Fire at second dam we went on our first date with Becca and Steve where we had a scavenger hunt slash make a shirt extravaganza.  So we had to find the shirts and the paint which were linked to clues and we found the paint first and being mischievous people we took all the paint.  We then proceeded to make the most awesome shirt known to man and Tiffany sprayed paint all my pants and shirt it is a fond memory.  Then two days later we went kayaking at first dam were we explored and held hands as we floated talking about fishing and hunting and childhood memories. After many talks and kisses and dates and meeting the parents we arrive to the present time of Thanksgiving week.
Well thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year were we all become fat as a family which for some reason is a great bonding moment for families.  It is also a time of joy and great rejoicing among college students for freedom from books and classes reigns supreme.  So to start the week we headed to Andy's brothers house in Layton to hang out and watch football. We also hit up the stores and got some Christmas shopping done. Lets just say Tiffany had some buyers remorse after shopping that day. It was awesome and a day full of fun.  So hanging out and having fun we come upon the day of fat.  We got up early and took the scenic route to Tremonton to visit Tiffany's Grandparents where we encountered all the cousins, aunts and uncles.  So after fishing shows and hanging out we ate a turkey diner there. Yes, it's true I Andy had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.  Then we went to my parents house in Smithfield where we talked and took funny pictures and then we ate.  We then proceed to my grandmas house and my aunts swarmed Tiffany. After coming home from a day full of adventure venturing from family to family we found out Tiffany got food poisoning from the green bean casserole (thinking that I (Tiffany) get sick after eating green bean casserole every year at Thanksgiving I would learn my lesson)

The Stories On How We Met

Two months ago today Andy and I met. Crazy how fast these two months have gone by. I guess when were both busy with school and work it seems to go by fast.

Tiffany's side of the story: We met at a bonfire his friend was hosting and two of my roommates met Andy earlier in the week. Andy, Me, my roommate Becca and Andy's friend (who was hosting the bonfire) all went to Andy's house to get some camping chairs. After we went to Lee's to get somethings for the bonfire. Once we got to Second Dam, we cooked some hot dogs and had dinner. Then,  Andy, my roommate and I all went and had a competition  on who could keep there feet in cold water the longest. I will admit I lost the competition. After the competition I really got to get to know Andy with our conversation we had on on the bridge. But I will admit when I first realized that I liked Andy was when we were heading to the store. He just kept making me laugh and his personality just really attracted meHe is so great, he can make me laugh for no reason, and he makes me so happy.

Andy's side of the story: well it was day like any other day it started by me doing the whole mourning routine which would be tedious to explain something you should all know.  Steve came by and asked if i had camping chairs i said yes and the whole lot of people previously mentioned by Tiffany got in my car and we drove off.  We got the chairs and went to lees to which i also needed to get homemade pizzas for that Sundays party dinner at my place.  So that's when Tiffany had the opportunity of experiencing how a person with out direction in a store shops.  I always know what i need so i never ever make a list nor do i organize by aisle so it is an extravagant affair of circling the store and talking to the twenty million or so people that i know which i found out later talking to people in the store is shunned upon by Tiffany.  So long story short i could not keep my eyes off her and it was a blast.  I was working up the courage the whole rest of the day to ask her out.  So at the fire Me and Andrea who think alike decided to stick our feet in a cold lake to see who is the toughest which i am and Tiffany came with which was awesome.   She got out after some trickery about how cool it would be to explore this little rock island to which she lead a one person expedition. Then after Steve and Becca's traumatic half day relationship to which we were helping both sides i was able to get her alone.  We had the most amazing conversation where i learned a lot about her and i realized i really kind of liked her. So i asked her out she said yes and the rest is history.
